Athira commenced its operation in the year of 1997 as traders of timber & plywood and manufacturer of packing case materials, based at Karimkunnam, near Thodupuzha at Idukki District, Kerala.India

From this modest beginning during the year 2001, Athira started peeling of veneer unit and during 2005 it started ply wood manufacturing.
